Modi Thanks to Hasina

The Indian PM Narendra Modi  sent a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, thanking her for the gift of mangoes  sent earlier last week.  The Indian leader, In the letter, insisted that he was impressed by Prime Minister Hasina’s “thoughtful gesture.”“It was a pleasant reminder of your hospitality in Dhaka extended to me during my recent visit to Bangladesh,” he added. Modi further said despite the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the cooperation between two nations will continue to grow in all areas of the bilateral relationship. “I am glad, he added in the letter, that follow-up discussion and initiatives taking place despite these disruptions.” . 

“I reiterate our government’s commitment to progressing our mutually beneficial cooperation,” the Indian prime minister told his Bangladesh counterpart. “Please accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.” 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent  mangoes as presents to the Indian Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,
 and a few other leaders to the neighbouring countries.

A truck carrying 2,600kg of the Haribhanga variety of mangoes, grown in Rangpur region, crossed the border through the Benapole port in Jessore on Sunday, according to media reports.

Mamata appreciated Prime Minister Hasina for
 the gift in a letter, saying: “I respect your affection and the fragrance of
 Bangladesh, which came through the mangoes. I am truly impressed.

Kolkata Md Samiul Quader, First secretary of the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata received the mangoes.These mangoes are a reminder of friendship between the two nations, quoted Anupam Chakma, deputy commissioner of Benapole Customs House.media reported.Benapole Municipality Mayor Ashraful Alam Liton, Sharsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mir Alif Reza, and Benapole Port Deputy Director Mamun Kabir Tarafdar were also present there, among all.
