Covid infections flying in Bangladesh




 

Bangladesh observed 199 more deaths from Covid-19 till Thursday morning.  This is the second highest number of death casualties in a single day in the country. Till now, a total of 15,792 people died in the country due to the Covid-19.

Earlier, on Wednesday, more than two hundred people died, conforming the highest number in a single day. In the meantime, 11,751 people have been newly infected by the virus, the highest in one day so far. 

11,525 people were infected on Tuesday last. The total number of infected people increased to nearly 1 million.

Casualties data was given in the regular press release on Thursday forwarded by the Department of Health.

About 38,024 samples have been collected  in last 24 hours and 36,850 have been tested. The detection rate was 31.62%. 

So far, a total of 68,l6,672 samples tested in the country. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 14.41%.

65 of them from Dhaka out of 199 fatalities over the last 24 hours , 37 from Ctattogram, 15 in Rajshahi, 55 in Khulna, 3 in Barisal, 5 in Sylhet, 9 in Rangpur and 10 in Mymensingh.

Among the dead, 133 were men and the rest 66 is women.
